X Factor Saturday show part 2 – Cher, Wagner, One Direction and Rebecca

X Factor Saturday show part 2 – Cher, Wagner, One Direction and RebeccaThe Elton John special, was well special. Most of the contestants seemed to struggle with their songs but some people really managed to shine. Here is what we thought of the second half.

Cher LloydHer performance was like the day-dream of a mad person, and so we kind of liked it. Cher's look was another stage towards her transformation into Cheryl, although her lower half was clear styled from Tron. Now she just looks like a travel-sized Ms Cole.

Opinion is still divided over a rapping but if it’s good enough for Jay-Z then she is clearly onto something.

Wagner
The W-Dog looked like he was about to explode when he first appeared on stage. It was painful to watch and listen to. Why did only Wagner and Cher get to perform mash-ups? Also who was in charge of the backing dancers? That person shouldn’t be allowed to do that anymore.

Once Wagner got on to singing Circle of Life things improved but it definitely wasn’t his finest hour. We get the impression Louie doesn’t quite know what to do with Wagner, but whatever he did Dannii was not a fan.

One DirectionTiny little men standing on tiny little stages singing with their tiny little voices. One Direction are so polished and slick it almost seems unfair that they are allowed in the contest. Are they really competing against Wagner? Really?

The only bad thing about One Direction is that they make Simon act all mega smug, which we suppose is sort of fair because they are amazing. As Simon said ‘This is the first time I think a group is going to win the X Factor’

Rebecca FergusonRebecca easily defended her position as the most stylish contestant on the X Factor, although her earrings did look like lampshades from Nana’s house.

She sang really well in her own distinctive way and was a great closing act for the show. All the judges loved her, again. Candle in the wind is probably Elton’s most famous song, not quite sure she ‘made it her own’ but she did pretty well.
